Combustion Appliance Safety Test

Combustion appliances such as furnaces, cook stove\ovens, space heaters and water heaters possess the potential of becoming a health and safety hazard and should be inspected on a routine basis to ensure safe operation. Supreme Home Services uses test and inspection procedures that will identify fuel leaks, the potential for Carbon Monoxide poisoning and fire hazards.

Gas appliances that are left unchecked could be dangerous and leaking gas or carbon monoxide. All of your gas appliances, including your gas fireplaces should be safety checked once a year and serviced regularly according to manufacturer’s instructions. You could be putting you and your family at risk and in danger.

What we look for during safety inspection:
* Check all gas appliances for fuel leaks;
* Check all accessible gas supply lines, propane tanks and gas meters for fuel leaks;
* Measure ambient Carbon Monoxide levels through out home;
* Measure all gas appliances' flue gasses for Carbon Monoxide levels and Efficiency;
* Check all gas appliance zones for adequate amount of combustion air;
* Test worst case draft to make sure vented appliances are exhausting flue gasses;
* Inspect all accessible flue pipes and chimneys for proper size, material, connections, corrosion, blockage and proper configuration;
* Test safety controls at gas control valves and high limit switches.

 You should have a gas appliance safety check every year, your life could depend on it!
